The newest resort in Krabi, Southern Thailand, is the beautiful Aonang Phu Petra Resort. The 4 star resort opens late 2009 and will definitely appeal to those guests who want to enjoy a relaxing vacation amidst beautiful surroundings.

Krabi is fast becoming one of Southern Thailand’s top tourist destinations and there are likely to be many new hotels and resorts opening up here. What sets the Aonang Phu Petra Resort Krabi apart from the rest is that this is a small resort, containing only 25 villas. The villas are beautifully presented and have a rustic charm yet all the comforts you would expect. Of the 25 rooms in total there are five different sizes, and each of these has its own unique style. Impressive features across all the rooms include high ceilings, allowing the Southern Thai heat to dissipate more effectively, plus natural wood floors and wooden architectural features with splashes of color here and there.

The Gloriyo Hillside Villas and Poolside Villas are spacious and light, the hillside ones featuring relaxing hill views, while the poolside ones are right next to the swimming pool. For extra space and luxury there are the Majestic Suite Poolside Villas with separate lounge and bedroom areas and views over the pool, or great for families are the resort’s two Family Grand Poolside Villas with two bedrooms and lounge. The Aonang Phu Petra Resort Krabi will also offer hotel style rooms within the resort’s main building, opening towards the end of 2010.

Facilities & Services:

The Aonang Phu Petra Resort Krabi is only a small resort, but it has all you’ll need for a relaxing stay. There’s the Sila Petra Restaurant for all your dining requirements plus the spacious Phu Anda Lounge where you can sit back and relax and enjoy a drink. The outdoor swimming pool is at the heart of the resort, surrounded by attractive decking and with plenty of sun loungers and parasols available. Guests with children can make use of the kid’s corner and available baby cots, plus there are services such as wireless internet in the rooms and public areas, a hotel shuttle service into Krabi, and motorcycle hire for guests who want to explore their surroundings independently.
