From October 1st entrance fees at some of Thailand’s most popular national parks will rise for both Thai and foreign visitors.
Good News: While the price for Thai visitors will be raised 150%, the price for foreigners will only increase by 25%! The catch? Before the price hike foreigners are already paying TEN TIMES the price of Thais to visit national parks.
Thai adults, who currently pay THB40 (about USD1.30) will be charged THB100 (USD3.20) while admission fees for foreigners* will rise from THB400 (USD12.85) to THB500 (USD16.00).
*In some cases, foreigners who live legally in Thailand have been known to receive the “Thai price” by showing their work permit, but the success rate of this is known to be spotty at best.
