 Pattaya is a well known sea-side resort which is famous for it's range of diversions that appeal to all tastes and preferences, day and night. Only 91 miles (147 kilometers) from Bangkok, many people travel there by taxi for less than USD 40. Pattaya lies on a lovely natural bay and features a long sandy beach called Jomtien, providing opportunities for many water-based activities. There are also plenty of affordable golf courses in the area. At night Pattaya really comes into it's own and comes alive with many beer bars, cabarets, discos, pubs and restaurants.
