The Six Senses Hideaway Samui (formerly Sila Evason Hideaway and Spa) has been awarded the Best Hotel in the World, The Best Overseas Hotel and The Best Asia & India Subcontinent hotel by Condé Nast Traveller Magazine 2008. This is in addition to the numerous other "Best" awards it has won over recent years.

The resort is set amongst twenty acres of lush tropical pristine vegetation around a gently sloping peninsula on the northeastern tip of Samui Island. The resort is just six kilometers from the airport and guests have easy access to the exciting nightlife of Koh Samui and nearby attractions of Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan. 52 of the 66 beautifully designed and spacious (minimum size: 130m²) villas feature private infinity-edged swimming pools which blend into the horizon of the Gulf of Siam, enhancing the sense of seclusion and privacy that this stunning property affords. All of the villas are designed with an emphasis on open spaces and are split level with panoramic views from both the plunge bath and the private sundeck.

The 14 Hideaway Villas (140m²) feature outdoor shower with private garden, plunge bathtub with panoramic views, fridge, minibar, large daybed, CD player with speakers throughout the villa, TV and DVD player, outdoor dining table among other amenities.

The 10 Pool Villa Suites (300m²) feature, in addition to the above mentioned facilities, a private pool (3.5 meters), 2 bathrooms, private living room with 2 daybeds, sun bathing deck with sun lounges, 2 outdoor daybeds and sala.
