Rayong is located approximately 136 miles (220 kilometers) from Bangkok and features an extensive coastline and lush mountains. Well known in Thailand for it's 100 kilometers of coastline featuring pristines beaches and sceneic waterfalls, Rayong province also contains beautiful Ko Samet. More beautiful and relaxing beaches can be found on Ko Samet, which is not known for it's party scene, so it is more of a quiet relaxation island where you can escape the stresses of life and recharge your batteries. The beautiful beaches of Ko Samet, Hat Sai Kaew (Diamond Beach), Ao Vong Duan and Ao Prao, along with it's relatively close proximity to Bangkok (3 hours and 276 baht by bus) make it a perfect quick getaway.
