This 5 star Anantara Bangkok RiversideResort and Spa may be situated in Bangkok, but with the resort like feel, space and tranquility offered here, guests could easily think they had been transported to Southern Thailand!
The beautiful traditional Thai architecture used around the swimming pool, and the palm trees and tropical gardens, certainly give the Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort and Spa a feeling of tranquility and provide an oasis from the hustle and bustle of one of the world’s largest cities.
Location:
The Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort and Spa is located within the Samrae Thonburi area of Bangkok, close enough to be able to access all of the attractions of the city, yet far enough away for peace and quiet when desired.
The closest BTS Skytrain station is Saphan Taksin, which is connected via covered walkway to the Saphan Taksin Pier. From here you can catch one of the two complimentary shuttle boats that the hotel provides, which depart from both sides of the river simultaneously, departing every 20 minutes until midnight.
Accommodation:
The guest rooms at the Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort and Spa are all elegantly yet comfortably furnished, using calming neutral tones with a touch of Thai inspiration and luxurious polished hardwood floors. The bathrooms have all been designed with space and light in mind and feature separate shower stall, relaxing deep bath tubs, and double vanity sinks. The private balconies are a great feature too, not often seen with city hotels.
Guest rooms range from the standard Deluxe King, or two twins, and have either a city views or a Chaopraya River view. Both types benefit from a private balcony, an evening turndown service, bathrobes and slippers, mini bar, complimentary bottled water, large television with cable channels and pay per view movies, plus a sitting area, desk, and more.
For guests looking for a little more space there is the Junior Suite which also benefits from some basic kitchen facilities, a 42 inch flatscreen television and DVD player, and has a resort view. The one bedroom suite also has a resort view and gains an additional television in the separate bedroom. Guests of these suites can also make use of Club Lounge access with complimentary food, cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, personalized concierge services and more.
Finally the Presidential Suite offers all of the above but far more space. The large outdoor areas of this suite are particularly impressive, plus there are luxuries such as the Master Whirlpool bath.
